What do comedians Tim Minchin, Dave Callan, Claire Hooper and Brendon Burns all have in common? They all hail from Perth! Well, we think there must be something in the water. And, with this in mind, the Perth International Comedy Festival is launching a hunt for the next up-and-coming comedian from Perth. The event to decide this, Next Gen Comedy, will be based on audience vote, meaning we're leaving it up to the people of Perth to decide who is the best in the West. The competition will include five heats, two semi-finals and one grand final to decide which local comedian is good enough to swing it with the best of them. That's right, the major prize is a professional spot on the Astor big stage in the Festival Finale. Don't miss your chance to be part of this exciting new event!
