Four Fabulous Comedians. Each for One Night Only
May 9: Sarah Furtner: The Good German
Sarah Furtner is a good* German. How German? Not very. How good? Great!
Sarah ponders how this proud, jolly race could be so overlooked in these multicultural times. Sarah will delve into her peoples’ contribution to both the Australian and international community. Revelling in their food, their art, their pornography, their innovations and their ground-breaking foreign policy.
A show suited for people who are from Germany, have been to Germany or have heard of Germany. Partly educational and partly offensive, the show is completely entertaining!
*Sarah, whilst lovely, is not morally good.
May 10: Josh Richards: Apocalypse Meow
Josh returns to Perth for a trip down the cataclysmic yellow-brick road. Expect mayans, extinction-level events, possessed ex-girlfriends, the very hungry catapillar, and possibly the creepiest baboon puppet to ever appear on stage.
Doomsday shouldn't be this much fun.
May 11: Adam Peter ScotT: Nerd Alert
Adam Peter Scott is one of WA's finest up-and-coming talents, combining self-deprecation, deconstruction and witty observations with a unique flair. And he is on a mission. He's gonna take down the hipster establishment and reclaim it for the nerds. The hipsters will probably beat him up and take his bus fare, but the point is he's trying. APS is bring nerdy back, and you won't want to miss it. Why see the coolest stand-up comedians when you can see the least cool?
May 12: Tien Tran: If you don't know, Now You Know
"Everything I say here is just to convince you to give me money so you can see a thing that I do. Just come and stop basing the choices you make in life around reading blurbs.
Yes the name of this show came from a Biggie song."
"He's one of Perth's promising stand up comics."
- The West Australian
"... also great was Tien Tran from Western Australia, who occasionally veered into very wrong territory, which is always a risk for a big crowd like this but it paid off."
- The Sydney Morning Herald
